Monthly Executive Subscription

This is our core service for busy professionals. You get a premium sedan or hatchback for a fixed monthly fee. We handle the road tax, comprehensive insurance, and all scheduled servicing. If the car needs tires or a brake check, we take care of it at our Reading hub. You can cancel or pause your subscription with 30 days' notice. It is built for those who want a reliable car without the paperwork. We currently have 14 executive models available for immediate start.

Executive car subscriptions at Reading Station

We keep 14 executive cars ready at our hub on Station Road. Most of our clients work in the tech parks around RG1 and RG2. They don't want the hassle of a 3-year lease or the debt that comes with it. Our subscription covers everything except the fuel or electric charge. You pay one monthly bill. We handle the rest. We currently look after 47 active drivers who need a reliable car for the commute but want the option to change it if their contract moves to another city.

What your monthly payment actually covers

The price you see is the price you pay. It includes comprehensive insurance, road tax, and 24/7 roadside recovery. We don't do hidden admin fees. If the car needs a service or the brake pads look thin, you bring it to our Reading workshop. We usually get the work done in about 3.2 hours. While we work on your car, you can use one of our desks at 58 Station Road or grab a coffee nearby. We use a team of 4 local mechanics who know these specific German and Swedish models inside out. Honestly, we aren't the cheapest in Berkshire, but we are the most straightforward.

Built for IT contractors and local pros

Tech contracts change. We understand that. That is why we only require 30 days' notice to pause or cancel. If you get a new role in London and don't need the car for a few months, you just hand it back. No exit fees. No long phone calls with a bank. We started Off Hours Coding in 2018 because we saw too many friends stuck in expensive car loans they didn't need. Today, we manage a fleet of 19 vehicles total, specifically chosen for comfort on the A33 and M4. (Heads-up: we only have 3 diesel models left as of Tuesday, the rest are hybrid or electric).

The maintenance process at our Reading hub

We keep our own service records for every vehicle in the fleet. You won't have to hunt for a stamp in a book or worry about an MOT date. When the car is due for its check, we send you a text 14 days in advance. You pick a morning that works for you. We take the keys, and you go about your day. We recently helped a developer from Green Park who had a flat tire on a rainy Tuesday; we had a replacement wheel on his car and him back on the road in 42 minutes. That is the level of service we aim for every single time.
